All B175 series transducers used a tilted element. The ceramic element is fixed at a 20° 12° or 0° angle within the housing. The tilted element corrects for the hull deadrise and orients the sonar beam to ensure maximum echo returns.

When installed in pairs join the B175 transducers using a transducer Y-cable part number A012146.
